As you probably know the air filter that comes with your car is made predominately of paper with plastic molding holding the filter together. If you change the air filter at recommended intervals once a year is common you can easily go through 3, 5, or even 10 or more air filters depending on how long you keep your car as well as how many miles you put on your car.
