Buying a villa in Lanzarote is a bit different from buying a house in the UK. Often a villa will be placed by the seller with more than one estate agent, and sometimes at different prices, so it pays to do your research and look around. Also, you are going to rely on your estate agent far more than you would in the UK. In the UK, the estate agent is simply selling the property and once you have decided to buy, their services are really over. In Lanzarote, however, you will need your estate agent to take you through the buying process which is different from that in the UK. You have a couple of options to consider. You can choose an estate agent, give them your exact requirements, and let them find the property for you, or you can identify the properties yourself and so the estate agent you use to purchase the villa can depend on the property you decide to buy.
