While Chris DiMarco played remarkably to finish second just two strokes off the paste, the result was never in doubt as Woods hit consistent shot after shot for eighteen holes.
Time and time again when I have the opportunity to play a round of gold, it amazes me how many weekend golfers still reach for a driver which they have no control over and then wonder why they shoot over 100. It was an emotional day for Woods as he was coming off a sub-par US Open and wanted to bounce back in a big way.
As mentioned in the linked article, his dad was sitting on his shoulder for every shot and Woods followed his fathers advice to the tee. Manage your emotions and focus on staying in the moment and everything else will take care of itself!
