Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons is overrated. Yes, the title says it all. He does have a great game now and again, but he’s far from one of the best QB’s in the game today. He was on Inside The NFL on HBO earlier this season crying about how he doesn’t get the respect he deserves. He also said that he was just as good as Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and deserved to be in that group of the best of the best QB’s. I don’t think so.
What’s he done? He’s been in the league for 6 years and has never helped his team get to at least the NFC Championship. But, forget about that, because neither has Manning. However, what Manningand Bradyhave done is constantly have good game after good game while helping their teams win and reach the playoffs consistently.
Michael Vick has played in 9 games in 2006 as of this writing. He has thrown 12 TDs, but 9 interceptions. When it comes to QBs, that’s one stat I pay close attention to.
