For some people it only takes one experience on a boat for them to realize that they must have one. It probably wont take long to spot that dream boat either. Your first task is to decide what type of boating you will be doing. Some boats are more for relaxing on the lake and taking it easy. Other boats are all about water sports. Some are a little bit of both. To make sure you step into the right boat, make sure you think carefully about what you would like to do now and in the future with your boat. Another factor to consider is the size of the bodies of water that you will be taking your boat out on. Obviously if you live in a landlocked area with small lakes there is no need for a boat that is designed for rough seas and big waves.
