Benidorm is one of the most popular hotspots in the Alicante province on the coast of Spain and is booming with tourists, especially during the summer season when its population is more than half a million. Many would call it the Spanish melting pot, not only because of tourists from all over the world, but also because of the opportunity to try food from all over and participate in many Spanish traditions without the need to leave the city. Benidorm is not unlike its neighboring towns and cities with much history dating back to the Romans, Arabs and Catholic Kings, and there are still remains of these civilizations and architecture.
