Skin Cosmetics And Allergies-
Skin cosmetics may cause two types of allergies – Irritant Contact Dermatitis or Allergic Contact dermatitis. With irritant contact dermatitis, the inflammation of the skin develops because of contact with any ingredient. Suppose you touch an alkali, you will damage your skin. That is irritant contact dermatitis. No cosmetic contains such harmful ingredients, but even a most neutral material such as water can cause it in many people if they are in touch with it for long. With allergic contact dermatitis, you get an allergic flare up as soon as you come in contact with an ingredient. Why you develop that allergy and your friends do not is not known.
