First of all in order to know what whether or not you need a registry clean you have to know what kind of registry I am talking about. You also have to know what that particular kind of registry does, and what kinds of things happen when your registry is dirty. In the next several paragraphs I want to tell you about each of these things and in so doing hopefully answer the title question.
The type of registry that I am referring to is the registry that is used by all windows operating systems.
