Georgia has always inspired images of Southern hospitality, but Georgia offers much more than that. In the state capital of Atlanta there is the Atlanta History Center and the Stone Mountain Park. In the southern parts of Georgia there is the Ocmulgee National Monument and the Museum of History in Macon and August respectively. There are many opportunities for travelers staying in Georgia. The state capital in Atlanta offers a very unique experience. The city is both historical in nature while still remaining a very contemporary city. There are many sites to visit and see in Atlanta including the magnificent twenty-one acre Olympic Park where the Summer Olympics was held in 1996. Atlanta also offers planetarium shows at the Fernbank Science Center which also has the Fernbank Natural History Museum on the same site. Although if you are into history than an excellent place to visit in Atlanta is the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site.
