FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is an Internet protocol that allows users to exchange files, programs, etc. over the Internet and uploads them to a Web server or downloads them to their personal computer. What actually does FTP software do?
We refer to computers configured to accept FTP requests as FTP servers. These servers store a tremendous amount of information, and it is available to anyone on the Internet using FTP. Downloading refers to transferring files from the FTP server to the client computer. Uploading refers to transferring files to the FTP server from the client computer.
