This Mother’s Day, I’ve decided to pamper mom with a gift basket. With so may available options, it’s no wonder more people are choosing gift baskets as a way to express gratitude for a job well done. In this case, the “job well done” was raising my siblings and I to be civilized adults despite our propensity to make that an almost impossible task. I think I’m going to get mom a home spa gift basket so that she can pamper herself in the one place she feels completely comfortable…home. A friend of mine sent me the same gift basket last year after I received a promotion at work and I can tell you from experience that the salts, rubs and bath oils contained within had me wanting to stay in the bath all weekend long for several weeks after.
Then again, I might get mom a gourmet gift basket so that she can indulge in the delectable offerings from overseas gourmet food shops. It’s true that theirs no better way to a person’s heart than through the stomach, at least in my family. Of course, there’s always the chocolate gift basket.
