One of the greatest plans for survival when driving in remote areas, is to plan a particular route for travel. Be certain that you tell friends and family members where you are going, and the route you plan to take. You may want to leave a map with family indicating your route with a highlighter. This may seem to be going a little far, but it can save your life!
Another important piece of information to leave with others, is the time when you plan to return home from the trip. This will help people to be aware if something is amiss when you haven’t returned on time.
