We booked at the Long Bay Beach resort a beachfront room which had a beautiful high vaulted wooden ceiling, a very large king sized bed, and a full length sliding glass door, so we had just the most beautiful views, and there was a cosy sun deck for us to sit on. The air conditioning worked well and we werent frozen as we have been in other places, and I cant complain at all about how well we were looked after.
We woke every morning to the sound of the sea, opening the curtains, and seeing the view was almost the most outstanding part of our vacation.On top of this, the island of Tortola itself is simply beautiful, with plenty to see and do, and there are excursions to a number of other islands you can take such as Virgin Gorda,and Jost Van Dyke.
It has to be said however you will need mosquito repellent cream!!!
There were complaints about the beach being too rocky and loads of sea urchins, but people are so lazy on their vacation. If you were prepared to walk a short way up the beach, and they disappear!
