Mansion has shown its commitment to developing the Asia Pacific timezone market by shifting the schedules of its USD100,000 daily guaranteed tournaments. From 19 March 2007, these daily tournaments will be held as follows:
1. 11:00a.m. GMT meaning 7:00p.m. Singapore and 10:00p.m. Sydney on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday
2. 8:00p.m. GMT on every other day.
Players will find that not many major online tournaments are held at such favourable times for those based in the Asia Pacific.
It is not, however, just the timings of these events that are attractive. On 19 March 2007 (Monday), only 350 players registered for this tournament (the buy-in is only USD100) – To break even for these daily events Mansion requires 1000 players!!!
This therefore represents significant player value for players playing at such timings. If the 8:00p.m. GMT guaranteed tournaments are included, Mansion averages 529 players per day and even then the prizes are still very significant in value for the individual player.
