Murcia is located approximately forty-five miles south of Alicante in the Costa Blanca region of Spain. It is situated along the beautiful coastline of the Mediterranean Sea. Though called the Murcia Airport, this airport is actually located in San Javier which is approximately seventeen miles south of the Murcia. The airport is both an air base and a civilian airport and is operated by the Spanish Airport Authority headquartered in Madrid.
