It may be hard to believe sometimes but there are people that actually drive for a living. The most common form are truck drivers and they can haul either locally or over the road. There is so much in the way of supply and demand that has to be taken from one location to another and truck drivers get it there.
Many of us complain about sharing the road with those big trucks, but we definitely love to be able to walk into any business and pick up what we want. Almost all of the items you will find in such locations were delivered via truck. Professional truck drivers often get a terrible rap in society.
They are stereotyped as lazy and dirty individuals. Yet you will find they often stop to lend an hand when someone is broke down on the side of the road. They also have to keep their trucks in working order so they dont break down themselves. Professional driving involves being alert and being able to follow directions. You have to be prepared for anything including icy roads or other drivers that arent paying attention to the road like they should be.
