Many times in the NBA, the game is so close that it might go into overtime, or even come down to the final shot. When many people go to professional basketball games, the game is so boring that its whats referred to as a blowout. This is when one team will be in the lead by numerous points, causing many to begin leaving the game, in disappointment and boredom. Its not necessary for them to stay and see whos going to win, because there will be no way for the losing team to catch up in the amount of time that is left. Why sit there and continue to watch their favorite team get the demolished?
On the other hand, there are the games that are real nail-biters. Several things can happen to make an NBA game especially exciting, but there is one that happens quite often. Its when the score is really close, only a few points apart, yet its nearly over. This type of game will keep the crowd in the arena to watch the entire game, and when the game goes into overtime, this is when the crowd really gets into it.
