About the Story
The Odd Couple is the story of two classic characters – Felix Ungar and Oscar Madison. The two become roommates, and they are polar opposites in regards to their lifestyles. Felix is going through a divorce, and he is overtly anal and a bit of an obsessive-compulsive person who cant stand to have even one detail out of place or order. Felix is a news reporter who is never anything but completely and fastidiously groomed.
Felixs roommate by necessity is Oscar, a sportswriter who has just completed a divorce. Felix is everything that Oscar isnt. Hes a slob, hes not detail-oriented, and hes a sportswriter instead of a news reporter. Oscars habits, or lack thereof, proceed to drive Felix crazy, and their daily clashes create a high level of comedy....
