The University of Iowa is considered to be one of the best schools in the state and also in the surrounding area. The University of Iowa is located in the southeast part of the state, in a town called Iowa City. It is also located on the shores of the Iowa River. Iowa City is often listed in “best places to live” studies because of the great public schools, safe neighborhoods and educated population.
