Use The Force That Drives The Look In The Golf Swing And
Several weeks ago, Beau Baugh, friend, tour player, college coach, and brother to famed LPGA Tour Pro Laura Baugh came up to me and said, “Rick, do you know that you teach the force that drives the look in the golf swing?”
My response was, “I like that description of my teaching style.
Beau said you know theres only a few of us that teach this way. I agreed.
Teaching the feel of the golf swing has taken years of lesson experience and trial and error. It is, however, a great way to get my students to achieve the look and technique of the best players in the world. In other words, I can get students to blend all the technically correct positions without being too mechanical. An analogy would be having a new car with no engine in it to make it run smooth.
Many golfers try to achieve positions by looking at segmented pictures of golf swings, but never really discover the true force that drives the look. Building a new car that looks good on the outside but has no engine will never run. There has to be an inner force to drive the look of the swing.
Another analogy...
